My experience with Long Distance Moving Companies is overall good. I have moved several times from coast to coast, each time moving my entire household and many items which were important to me. Normally the long distance moving company would insure my belongings and even if something was lost; they would reimburse me for it. Sometimes, they just find my lost boxes in the warehouse and would locate my name and let me know about lost items being found. I try to stay away from renting a truck and moving myself. Hiring a moving company is expensive, but worth while.
