The American Red Cross is the United States’ premier emergency response organization. It was founded in 1881 by prophet head Clara Barton to provide humanitarian care to the casualties of war and supporting injured parties of shocking natural disasters.

As time goes by, the American Red Cross’ service expanded by adding compassionate services in five more branches such as the following: “(1) services in the community that aid the needy (2) support and comfort for defense forces members and their families (3) the collection, processing and distribution of lifesaving blood and blood products (4) educational programs that promote health and safety (5) and global assistance and expansion programs.”
