I can’t believe I’m sharing this story and exposing my apparent lack of world geographical knowledge, but it’s not like I can tell someone I know about this without total humiliation. I was recently asked to search out the best hotel rates in Dresden. Yeah, sure, no problem…where? Dresden. Where in the world is Dresden? Half of you reading this are probably laughing at me, but I’ve got to believe that the other half have no clue where Dresden is either. I mean surely I am not the only idiot with a college education. I’m thinking this place must be in the Mid-West because I am admittedly unfamiliar with that part of the US, so imagine my surprise when the higher internet power led me to Germany.
